saa 2012 graduates take majority of CSCA Creative Best Awards in Student Category

The Columbus Society of Communicating Arts [CSCA] announced the winners of the 2012 Creative Best awards on November 15 at the Bluestone in Columbus, Ohio.

saa took the majority of awards in the student competition, garnering 7 of 8 awards given in this highly competitive category.

Awards of Excellence for work created while students at saa went to Ethan Muller for his Beeno Ad Series and Ammity Cocke for her Dantes Inferno book cover design. Ethan is a graduate of the Delaware Area Career Center and Ammity is a graduate of Miller High School.

Five Awards of Merit, for work created while students at saa, were awarded to Ethan Muller, Josh Hibbard, Leo Gomez, John Estoye and Hannah Bailey.

2012 CSCA Winners

Ethan is currently a Web Designer and Programmer for Sparkbox, located in Dayton, OH.

Ammity is on staff as a Graphic Designer with the Ohio University Credit Union in Athens, OH.

Josh is employed as a Graphic Designer at Designs Now in Dayton, OH.

Leo Gomez, a graduate of Lancaster High School, is employed with Leapfrog Interactive in Louisville, KY as a graphic and web designer.

John Estoye, who was home schooled prior to enrolling at saa, is currently working at Hot Head Burritos as a staff graphic designer.

A graduate of Valley View High School, Hannah Bailey is working with Electripack in Centerville, OH as a graphic designer.

In addition, saa President Jessica Barry in collaboration with saa Vice President Matt Flick, and Kenny Mosher, owner of Showdown Visual took home an Award of Merit for saa’s video, “The Graduates–Compilation Video”.
