Three SAA students selected for GDUSA 2017 Students to Watch List.
Three students from the School of Advertising Art are highlighted in Graphic Design USA Magazine’s (GDUSA) February issue, which includes the annual list of “Students to Watch.” Honorees are selected from leading art and design colleges from across the country.
Featured students Megan Miller, Jake Rhinehart, and Caleb Ritter are currently in their final year at SAA and will pursue careers in graphic and web design after graduation in June.
Megan is from Huber Heights, Ohio, and attended Miami Valley Career Technology Center. While a student at MVCTC, her advancement to the national level of the SkillsUSA competition pushed her to pursue the study of graphic design at SAA.
Jake is from Dayton, and took a nontraditional route to SAA. He studied art and history, earning a BA from Montreat College before choosing to explore his love of design.
Caleb grew up in Hinckley, Ohio, and discovered a passion for design during two years at Medina County Career center in the digital design program. He has had several internships that have fueled his love of the design field.
“We are so happy for Megan, Jake, and Caleb to be recognized as top students,” stated Jessica Barry, President at SAA. “This achievement speaks volumes for SAA and the work our students are creating.”
SAA students have been included on this prestigious roster for many years in a row. Previous honorees are Hannah Clegg and Zack Cobb in 2015, Brenden Schindler and Christian Smith in 2014, Laura Lyle and Molli Ross in 2013, Ethan Muller in 2012, Candy Niemeyer in 2011, and Travis Runyon in 2010.
