Vancouver based Jeff Hamada, founder of the most influential art blog on the Internet, visited saa
Jeff Hamada, from Vancouver B.C., spoke to saa students and faculty on Tuesday, March 16. In town to speak to the Dayton Creative Syndicate that evening, Hamada spent the afternoon at saa talking about his unorthodox journey to graphic design and his interest in all things creative: an interest which led him to start the highest traffic art blog on the Internet, booooooom.com.
According to Hamada, booooooom.com gets about two million hits a month and features art, photography, design, film, music and more. Hamada finds inspiration in discovering and featuring the work of largely unknown artists and designers on his blog, and wants people everywhere to create and interact with art in new ways.
Hamada encouraged students to follow their curiosity and see where it takes them. According to Jeff, his natural curiosity has led him to exciting new opportunities to design, new clients, and new friends around the world. “If you see an opening, step through it!”
saa is pleased to have Jeff Hamada as part of our 2009-2010 Professional Speaker Series.
